My time at the Philippines was a great ministry for me. There are relations there that I will forever cherish and forever be grateful for. My time in the Philippines God really taught me how to chose to love and have joy consistently. It is most definitely not a feeling but a choice, and I got to see that first hand from the people of the Philippines! The I.C.M. staff in Bohol was nothing short of amazing and I will not forget the awesome time I had serving the Lord with them. I pray God continues to bless them, and give them joy in Him everyday. The hospitality that was shown by the Philippino people was amazing as well! Never have I been taken cared of so much by a group of people. I was treated with much love and respect and I am so overwhelmed by the blessing that I had received from them. Hopefully we blessed them as much as they had blessed us! All in all it was a great month of ministry!
Now it’s time to move on to Malaysia! First there was a change to the team! This past week we were given new squad leaders and some teams got changed around. For the rest of the eight months we have a new addition to our team and his name is Eric Konick. I’m very excited about this move, because he will bring more to the team! The next eight months with him and our new squad leaders should be exciting. God will move greatly through them!
We have been to Malaysia for about one week! At first Malaysia was already scheduled on the race for us to go to. However, we were told that because of circumstances we were not able to go there. Well surprise!! It’s back on schedule again and God has got some amazing things planned for us here. I’m excited!!!!
Here in Malaysia there are quite a mix of different people. There’s Indian, Malaysian, and Chinese it’s a pretty cool mix. Mostly since I have gotten in this county I have had quite a bit of Indian food and boy is it spicy! Also there is plenty of eating with the hands in which I’ve gotten to do enough in the past country. Best of all it’s the amazing squatty potty!!!!! This potty is quite the thing to use now a days!!! Not only is it placed in the ground for usage, but you can burn calories by squatting for the period of time you have to use the bathroom. It’s different but I love it.
Next in Malaysia there are for different religions taking place. Last month Roman Catholicism had a strong hold in my ministry area of the Philippines. This time the dominate religion is Islam, then there is Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity. This month should be pretty interesting as far as ministry goes. However, God has moved here already since we have gotten here. On our first day of work pretty much an entire small group got saved! God totally rocked our worlds that night. I am super excited about what’s to come! We truly have our work cut out for us, but with God all things are possible! Just got to have big faith!!!
