I, Jonathan Smith, am very excited to share with you concerning my opportunity to work with Adventures in Missions and to go on the world race. Now 22 years old, I reflect on my childhood during which I grew up in a small town called Wynne, Arkansas as the middle child of three. I have one younger brother and one older sister. I grew up in a Christian home, where my mom, a former school teacher, is presently an assistant principle at Wynne High School and my father is a pastor at Christian Fellowship Church. I gave my life to Christ at the young age of six. It was the best decision I ever made. For most of my childhood through high school years I participated in an innercity youth program called Boys 2 Men/ Girls 2 Women. This organization was started for at risk youth. There I learned the meaning of serving others and hard work. Those work ethics would carry me through college where I was blessed with a degree in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Theology. During my college years, I was able to be apart of a special summer camp called T Bar M. At this camp, I developed a deep relationship with Christ and a huge passion to serve Him and to tell others about Him. I was able to work at this camp for three summers. I just finished my third summer and now I’m looking forward to doing the world race.
