I was talking about the Race with a good friend the other day, and was going on and on about fundraising, and planning what to pack, and figuring out which tent was the best one to buy…..at some point I asked if he had any overall suggestions for my trip.
He really made me stop and think when he said “I would encourage you to spend just as much time preparing your heart spiritually as you do planning fundraising and what to pack. That really made me stop and think, and I realized how out-of-proportion my priorities have been lately.
As I continue to tell people about my trip, more and more people promise to pray for me, and ask when I leave. I leave in the beginning of July, but please, DON’T WAIT to pray! I greatly appreciate your prayers even now, before I leave. Moving forward I’m hoping to spend more time preparing for this trip spiritually, and as a part of that, I need your prayerful support. I am super excited to see what all God has planned for the 11 months abroad, but I pray He helps move my heart to be in the place he wants it, to be best used by Him on this trip.
Thank you all SO much for supporting me in this – the response these last few weeks has been truly overwhelming, and I seriously have no words. I’m stoked to leave for training in 10 days!
