Hello and welcome to my blog! Since this is my first blog post I’d like to give you a quick rundown of who I am and what it is that I’m doing. My name is Jonathan Mantay, I’m 28 years old and I’m from Midland, MI. I’m thrilled to announce that I’m going on an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries called the World Race! My mission trip starts in January 2017 so I have just under a year to prepare for this amazing journey.
What is the World Race exactly? I’m glad you asked! It’s an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries on 3 different continents. While on the World Race, racers work in teams of 6-7 people and spend 1 month living in each country, working with local churches and ministries. Ministry will vary greatly depending on the country but they will include teaching English, planting churches, preaching the Gospel, working with victims trapped in sex trafficking, working in orphanages and helping meet the needs of the area.

My route will take me to India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Greece, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Botswana, Swaziland and South Africa.
I am so thankful for this opportunity God has given me and I want to do the absolute best I can on this trip to bring glory to His name but I can’t do it alone. First and foremost, I need your prayers! I have lots of preparation to do before I go and your prayers will be greatly appreciated. While I’m on the mission, I will be challenged, pushed and taken out of my comfort zone. I will need your prayers then too!
Secondly, in order to be fully funded, I need to raise $17,017. If you feel led, please consider becoming a financial supporter. It seems like SO much money but I have complete confidence that He will provide for my needs. This money covers all of my expenses for the 11 months including international airfare, food, lodging, medical insurance and other travel expenses. Financial support can be given as a one-time donation or become a monthly donor wherein you choose the amount and duration.
