My calling to the mission field came much sooner than I was willing to admit, so thankfully God is patient! It started in my senior year of college with a pretty weighty conviction about my future and seeking the Lord. I felt a growing calling to go abroad but was having difficulty reconciling that with my own plans. I kept coming back to a conference I had attended with my bible study two years prior where one of the speakers asked us to give our life plan to God. Ironically, I did not take notes because I thought it only applied to those who hadn’t chosen a career path yet. Silly me! Proverbs 3:6 tells us, “seek His will in all you do and He will show you which path to take,” and I realized I wasn’t seeking the Lord in everything I was doing. In fact, after some reflection I discovered a severe barrier to my spiritual growth: worry. I worried so much about how to seek God in planning for my future that I didn’t get around to actually doing it. God is very clear on this subject: Philippians 4:6 – “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.” This verse is so special for me because it turns my stressors into ways to grow with the Lord, and being a professional grade worrier, I’m probably about to hit a growth spurt. As my response to this realization, I knew I needed to serve the Lord in complete surrender (the details behind how God brought me to the World Race is in my “About Me” section and what ended up happening was crazy cool).

I am so excited about this process because I believe I am being called away from a life of worry and being ushered into the Lord’s plans for my future. As I seek God, I am experiencing His perfect love cast out all fear and remove anxiety just in the way scripture says in 1 John 4:18. I’m not exactly sure what is ahead of me in this journey, but I am holding onto the Holy Spirit’s transformative power, knowing that His provisions will always be enough for me and there is no need to fear otherwise.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about my calling!

These are some ways you can partner with me:

1) Prayerful support

Preparation for launch is an exciting process through which God is showing me a lot of room for growth. I would be so grateful if you prayed for me to stay open to what God is saying to me.

As a partnership I would love to hear how I could pray for you so please reach out to me and keep me updated on your personal journey!

2) Travel Expenses

If you have any frequent flyer miles you would like to donate, I will have plenty of plane tickets, including Training Camp from June 8 – June 18. Feel free to contact me if this line of support interests you and we can work out details!

3) Gear/ Equipment

-I have a registry with REI:https://www.rei.com/GiftRegistryDetails/GR129008840

Packing is a crucial aspect of preparation for the World Race and an amazing opportunity to get involved, as a the gear will be meeting my needs every day on the race. This list is made with the advice of previous and current racers and will be updated periodically.

4) Monetary Contributions

-If you would like to donate financially, monthly payments from $25-$50 are an awesome option for personal budgeting and ultimately help funding so much. It’s something I’ve done myself in sponsorship because it’s also a great way to stay prayerful!

-Any gift cards to help me gather equipment and offset costs: REI, Orvis, Target or anything of the sort!

-There are no processing fees for online donations so 100% of all the proceeds go to fund my mission trip

-All monetary donations are tax deductible due to Adventures in Missions 501(c)(3) tax code certification.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

Acts 20:24

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace
