It’s after 1am as I am writing this and that means it is December 31, 2015. It’s the last day of 2015. Being the last day, a lot has come to mind. Have I done enough? What have I done? Did I do things for me or did I do things for others? Did I do things for God? Was God first in my life? How many kids died of hunger? How many kids could I have helped save? How many people died and went to hell? Could I have helped them? How many opportunities did I miss? More and more questions come to my mind but the thing is, even if I did miss opportunities to minister and spread the love of Christ, I can’t dwell on the past. I have to move forward, we all do. 2015 has become the year that everyone was offended over everything. Where’s the love? Where’s the church? Not the physical building but the real church? What happened to the body of Christ? I for one feel the need to do more. It’s time for an awakening. The church has sat on their pews for far too long. It’s time to wake up a generation of people who aren’t afraid to die for their faith. Who aren’t afraid of change, who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty, who aren’t afraid to get off of their ‘holier than thou’ pew and go make disciples like Jesus has told us. The Great Commandment wasn’t just for the twelve disciples but it was for all of His disciples and if you are a follower of Christ then you should be His disciple. We as the church may have messed up inthe past and missed opportunities but 2016 can be the year of change, it can be the year of an awakening. Romans 13:11 says, “Furthermore, knowing the time, now is the moment to awake from sleep. For now our salvation is nearer than when we believed.” God has given us the tools to lead others to salvation. The time is drawing nearer and what are we doing? We worry about our lives and what we want and desire but what about what God desires? Jesus says, “For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it,” Matthew? ?16:25?. If we are trying to find a life to live on earth here then we are just going to lose it. Our life needs to be hidden in Christ and that is also where our hope needs to lie so that we can be hope to others and show them the love of God so they may live eternally in heaven. This may have not flowed together as a blog, it’s late at night but my heart breaks for the people of this world who have no hope. If I did not have hope, I could not live. How can we, as Christians live our lives here with comforts this world has to offer, when there are millions of people who are on their way to hell and don’t even know it? How can we let little children be left on the streets? How can we disregard the widow and orphan? How can we not help the homeless and diseased? What is wrong with the church? We’ve gone to sleep but now there needs to be an awakening. Will you join me? Help me go. “Also I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me,”” Isaiah? ?6:8?. In the words of Isaiah, here am I. Send me. Help me by donating with the link provided. It’s our duty as Christian’s to help those lost and hurting but it should be our desire. We shouldn’t do it because we have to but we should have to because we feel like it. ““When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. Before Him will be gathered all nations, and He will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. He will set the sheep at His right hand, but the goats at the left. “Then the King will say to those at His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you since the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in. I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you visited Me, I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? And when did we see You sick or in prison and come to You?’ “The King will answer, ‘Truly I say to you, as you have done it for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you have done it for Me.’ “Then He will say to those at the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave Me no food, I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink, I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, I was naked and you did not clothe Me, I was sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’ “Then they also will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not serve You?’ “He will answer, ‘Truly I say to you, as you did it not for one of the least of these, you did it not for Me.’ “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life,”” Matthew? ?25:31-46?.
