Thanks for visiting my blog! I haven’t really ever had a blog before so this is going to be somewhat new to me. I’m currently 19 and living in Waco, TX as a student at Baylor University, but my real home is Austin. I spent a good portion of my childhood in Cambridge, England, traveling
all around Europe and soaking in the history and culture. I grew up in a Christian home. My dad is one of the most brilliant men of faith I’ve ever known and he taught me from a very early age that having questions is normal, but I should never give up looking for answers. My mother, one of the most powerful women of faith I’ve ever met, taught me to love God and others without falling into the trap of viewing God as merely a puzzle to be solved. From about the age of 12 I knew I wanted to devote my life to God’s work, specifically, preaching. I’ve always had a knack for public speaking and writing, so I figured I could use those to do some real good for the Kingdom. I’m currently studying philosophy in preparation for one day entering Seminary and fulfilling my dream of becoming an ordained minister. Since I made that decision I’ve gone through a lot of ideas as to what I should be doing once I’m ordained and that led me to an in depth study of the Church that I’m still conducting now. The word that remains consistent through my studies though is, “Unity” so that’s what I’ve been focusing on. I love to read and listen and watch stories of any kind. I love the works of John Grisham and Douglas Adams as escapes from a world that can be rather dreary and dull at times. I have an amazing group of friends back in Austin. From my fantastic youth pastor, mentor and friend, to my wild and always insightful friend and spiritual guide, to my amazing and caring assortment of friends I’m never short of people to show me Christ’s all encompassing love. God led me away from them though, out into the World Race. As the days move forward my excitement for the World Race grows ever larger. I will miss my friends and family, but I’ll also see them again soon. As my former Church choir director and pillar of wisdom once said I need to, “Get over myself, and do what God’s leading me to do.” To end off here with a lightning round of quick facts
