I wanted to send out a huge “thank you” to everyone who contributed items to my garage sale and/or came by on the big day to be apart of the “Oppurtunity of a lifetme” as the greeting sign so aptly said as you entered the garage! Altogether (after I found more money in the back pocket of my jeans) the grand total was $900! As the day was progressing and it started to slow down a bit after lunch I thought that I had about $500 or so. But when everything was counted up at the end of the day it was way more. The day was nippy but many a folk still braved the cold, I’m just glad it wasn’t raining and it wasn’t snowing cause today is ridiculous as you can read in my previous blog of the day, but since then it has snowed like 15cm more!
Thanks again to my many family and friends, I know that it may have been a little stressful to get this thing organized with all the pickups and everything but you’ve helped me immensely!! Also, anything that didn’t sell at the sale was promptly packed up last night and driven to MCC on South Fraser Way, so if you gave me something that you still wanted and it didn’t sell, support MCC and buy it back!
PRAISE: So right now my support raising for my trip is at about $11500 CDN, so I have $2500 to go, God has been so faithful in speaking to people in my life to give to my missions trip, even when I don’t have much faith myself, His timing it right on.
