This month we got partnered with an awesome ministry team. The girls lived in the Lead Pastor’s house and the guys lived with the Executive Pastor.
Since I want to be an executive pastor this was an awesome experience for me.
I asked him for advice and this is what I got. So if you want to serve your church well and support your lead pastor, here are some practical things you can do.
Pray for your pastor.
Console him when he is down. Because pastors get depressed.
Be the eyes and ears.
When he says go…you go.
Listen to and take the complaints of the people.
Serve and obey.
Be close and be his best friend.
Realize how much pressure and scrutiny he is under.

I was so impressed by their teamwork and their hearts. There was nothing below either of them. Both were amazing with children and both loved their people.
We have a saying back home about “throwing down”…another term for preaching. I tell you what…these two throw down.
