After 2 days of hard work, we were on schedule for finishing on day 3. First, we had to finish up the rest of the siding. After seeing the girls work circles around us the day before, I decided I wanted their help in finishing it up. The rest of the crew started putting in doors, windows, and the electrical cable. A few hours later and it was roofing time!
Before I knew it, a crowd had gathered around waiting for us to dedicate the house to the family. I've never seen so many people at a house dedication before. We gave Blanca (the mother) the keys as everybody watched.
As I looked around, I could see how moved people were that a group from another country would raise enough money to come and build someone a house with no strings attached.
And that is what it's all about….showing God's love in radical ways.
It wasn't just a family that was changed, but a community….thanks to our team on the right, all of our supporters, and our amazing God in heaven.
