Last month in Nicaragua we had “manistry month.”

Basically what that means is that all the guys on the squad formed a new team for the month and did as many manly things as possible.

Here are a few of them…

Choppin down trees with machetes

Buildin fence…and gettin a tan

Playin Baseball with the locals…and getting our tails kicked

Surfing lessons…that turned into water fights

Shirtless team times

Shirtless meals

Shirtless bible studies

Basically everything was shirtless

But no for real, we worked with a ministry called Waves of Love led by an awesome man of God named Michael.  Throughout the month we were joined by several other men who helped us on the property.  The mission there is to create a sustainable ministry as their primary goal is pouring into the local communities suffering from poverty and spreading the light of Jesus. In years to come, the property will be filled with numerous different types of plants and food that will not only sustain the ministry but help provide for others.  Because of this, the locals will be able to learn what it looks like to have sustainable living, not to mention the relationships that Michael will be able to build through the development of the property (by hand I might add…as he has been led by the Lord).

I had a lot of great time with the Lord last month.  I probaby listened to over 30 podcasts/sermons.   We also got to dive deeper into things us men needed to talk about. It showed how important it is to have a team of men back home who are willing to pick each other up as we are on this road to glory, led by the greatest man who ever lived.  I will forever be greatful for this team of men I have had the privelege to serve alongside.  I know that the race won’t be the end for this team.
