I am someone that desperately loves meeting new people and truly living life to the fullest. I just love being around people and helping them. I love to play the guitar and you can probably always find me singing wherever I go. I very much enjoy stupid jokes and I have a bad habit of laughing at almost everything(btw, the secret to happiness is to be easily amused). I also pretty much never stop talking. I tend to do things that other people call crazy just to say that I’ve done them. Nature and I are pretty close. I like to go on hikes and just look at the sky. No matter how many times I watch the sunrise or sunset I still am shocked at how beautiful the world is. Traveling is my favorite way to waste money.

Now on to some of my faults. I tend to be strong-willed and strongly oppose authority(sorry mom and dad). I struggle with pride and think I am right all of the time. I’m too busy. I am very competitive, which I know can be a good thing, but for me it is just bad. I overthink things all the time and am indecisive. I can also be very impulsive as well.

You might think it weird to include a list of bad things about myself, but those things make me who I am just as much as the good things! Transparency can be a powerful thing.

If you love Jesus I will probably get along with you. If you don’t love Jesus, then I will probably still get along with you. I have learned that first impressions are almost always WRONG. Some of my best friends now seriously annoyed me when I first met them. The whole personality we put up as a front to protect ourselves is just stupid. So the last thing I try to do is to judge people. We are all a little strange in our own fantastic ways.

What matters the most is that I am daily trying to be more like Jesus and to love people with his life-changing love. And that is why I am looking forward to the World Race. I want to get rid of all of the things that I identify with that keep me from loving people with everything I have. I want to change the world by loving the people in it. I believe everything we do impacts the people around us, and just one act of sacrificial love has the potential to change everything.

I believe that Christianity isn’t about being right, but about pointing people to the giver of love and joy. It isn’t about saying but about doing. It isn’t about tradition but about transformation. God’s love for us does not make sense to us logically. Grace is not fair. Thank God for that.
