Ive been at training camp for 4 full days now, and it feels
like its been a month already.  Ive
been sleeping in a tent that broke after the first night and now resembles
something like a tee-pee.  Last night
our squad of about 50 people canoed to an island, cooked dinner over a fire,
and slept under the brightest moon ever.
But if there was one thing I would have to say thus far, it would be
that God is bigger than I ever imagined.
Being here with a bunch of people that Ive never met and hearing about
their lives and their stories and seeing the different ways that people worship
God has changed some perspectives, and caused me to seek Truth through prayer
and the Word like I never thought I would.  I never thought that God was confined to the small image I
had of Him in my head, but that image has grown in a time of discomfort, and I
haven’t even left the country yet.
This WILL be a challenging year, but also a year of much growth.  We find out our teams soon.  Please be praying for my trust that God
will ultimately be the orchestrater of that formation.
