If anyone knows me at all, they know that I spend a lot of time in the bathroom (the John). One of the first concerns I had when I heard about the World Race was, “what will the bathrooms be like?” There’s nothing like having the privacy of your own toilet and being able to sit on a glorious porcelain throne and unload.

This is the premiere episode of an original series titled “Jon Meets John”. I will be documenting my journey of the encounters I have with bathrooms that I’m forced into using throughout the world.

Sometimes, when nature calls, you don’t have a choice. I may have to throw my toilet paper in a trash can instead of flush it down the toilet, I may encounter a bidet or have to use a Squatty Potty – either way, this series will be unedited, uncut, and uncensored. What comes my way will also be coming straight to you via “Jon Meets John”. I hope you thoroughly enjoy the ride!

#1. The Introduction

Ahhhh, glorious America, where all things are familiar and normal. This is the John I left behind at our hotel in Atlanta before we flew to Chile.

It was so hard to say goodbye. It will probably be 11 long months before we reunite again.

Welcome to Chile

This is my first John in Chile. It’s attached to the church that is part of our ministry here in Tocopilla. It’s seen better days, yes, but it’s much more than I expected! It’s a private room with running water AND you can flush the toilet paper down the toilet!!!! Trust me, that’s a huge bonus. There are some concerns though; the wall behind the toilet is falling down, the shower head has exposed electrical wires, and every time I’m in there, there are two dogs on the other side of the wall, that at any moment, sound like they will come crashing through and devour me whole.

All in all, I really feel quite blessed with my bathroom situation this month. Stay tuned for more exclusive photos of Johns from around the world!!!

Please consider donating to the ministry my wife and I are pursuing. We have to raise $5,000 by November 22, 2017, to continue to serve with our team in this mission. Thank you to all those that have been continuing to support us!
