You’ve probably been wondering what all I’ve been doing this month. I wish I had some amazing stories of people being healed or giving their lives to Christ or even some pictures of something we’ve built. Unfortunately I don’t have any of those.

This month has been a lot of work without being able to see the fruit. It’s been a lot of seed planting and foundation building.

This month has been really challenging me in my attitude. I’ve been struggling to keep a positive attitude in all circumstances because, in my mind, I don’t feel like we’ve been doing Kingdom work. Since we can’t see the fruit of our labors.

But I thank God for his Word that corrects and challenges me. Especially Romans 12:9-11 which says:

“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”

That verse really hit me because that is essentially all that we were able to do this month. Just be intentional with the people that we meet here and to show them love, Christ’s love, to the best of our human ability. Then we just have to trust that God will take care of the rest.

I’ve also found solace in 1 Corinthians 15:58:

“So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”

So as my team and I get ready to leave on Wednesday, we just have to keep showing genuine love to those we come in contact with and to continue praying for those we’ve met and for the city of Tetovo.

If you would like to join us in praying for the city, here are a few practical things to pray for:

Health of the city. (As there is a lot of pollution from the factory here, diesel cars, and almost everyone here smokes)

God’s light to shine in the city. (There are so many people here who simply, and blindly, follow the religion of their fathers.)

More labourers for the city. (As our host and one other guy are the only true believers here)

I also have a financial update! I’ve met my next deadline of $13,000 that was due by Oct. 31st! I am currently at $13,160. So I only need another $3,107 to be fully funded!

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers! They are well received and much appreciated!
