Guess what? This is it! I'm in Washington D.C. at Launch! We have a few days of orientation and then we are off to Mozambique on Friday morning! This is all really happening! I can't say "next year" anymore. It's here and now and I couldn't be more excited.

While I still need plenty of financial support this blog has a different purpose. I'm writing to ask you all for a specific prayer.

A prayer for S T R E N G T H.

As you can see from the picture above I have to carry everything for the 11 months on my back, and it's not a lot, but it's still no small task. Pray for everyone launching now, that we have the physical strength to make it through the days, carry everything we need to and go everywhere the Lord is sending us. There will be sleepless and cramped nights. There will be hot and exausting days. There will be excessively long bus rides. All of which are physically taxing.

Pray for the strength of our minds. There will be challenging days when we think it's too much for us to handle, or the devil will attack our thoughts. There will be days when a child will ask a question that even we may not know the answer to, but pray God gives our minds the strength and fills us with the knowledge and discernment to handle every situation in the best way.

Pray for the strength of our immune systems. We are traveling to countries with very different diseases, parasites, viruses, and whatnot. Pray God gives our bodies the strength to fight back anything that may come at us sent from the devil to prevent the holy name of Jesus being preached among the nations!

Pray for strength of the families missing their friends and family who are on this World Race. It's a long time to go without seeing someone you love and it's harder for some than others. Pray that God gives them the strength, daily, to make it through the 11 months and give them the peace of knowing its not a final goodbye but a "see you later." Pray that the Lord continues to work in their hearts so there's notable change for the good when we all come home!

Pray for the strength of the people in the countless countries we will all visit. For their physical strength to provide for their families, strength and willingness to accept what we have to teach them, and strength to resist the devil encouraging any sinful ways they may be stuck in.

This year will be full of challenges for everyone but with God's strength we can use this year to better ourselves while winning hearts for The Lord.

"I can do all this through him who gives me strength."
