Up until recently I had thought my one “Wow place” was Disney World. Every time I go there I can hardly take it all in, I absolutely love the atmosphere and the happiness that comes bouncing around every corner. However, after taking one step into Swaziland, I realized something had to change. Either I had to take that label away from Disney World (which I really didn’t want to do), or I had to make some adjustments to my own rules concerning one’s “Wow place.” Swaziland is just so beautiful everywhere you look. When you first gaze upon the rolling, green and rocky mountains you can’t help but know in that moment how awesome and amazing God and his creation truly are. After thinking about it for a minute I realized the solution to my problem. It was like God was kind of hitting me in the back of the head saying “Duh!” We shouldn’t be limited to just one “Wow place,” everywhere we go should be a “Wow place.” Swaziland may be one of the places where it’s a little more obvious, but if you stop and think about God and how amazing he has to be to have created everything, everywhere you go becomes your new “Wow place.”
