Talk about a power house! This Jesus loving, spirit filled Latino is one force to be reckoned with.
and then cause you to break out in laughter with his ridiculous humor.
Him breaking into spontaneous dancing to something Top 40 is never a surprise.
Needless to say it is NEVER a dull moment when Daniel is around.
I am blessed to be learning and growing under his leadership
and I know that with him at the helm of Team ANEW we are off to unbelievable places!

When I was told that Marie was 21 my jaw dropped and my heart was happy… another old soul! I have never met anyone so passionate abut musicals, 1940's classics and Cary Grant. She is knowledgeable beyond her years and well informed on the most random of topics. She is from the wonderful state of North Carolina and proud of it! (That's in the South right? just kidding) She talks faster than anyone I have ever heard. I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know her and am looking forward to many more discussions on feminist theology and Biblical canonization lol (inside joke)
Thomas was actually one of the first people I met at Training Camp
and I knew then that we would get along just fine!
This boy is 100% New Yorker with his own unique swag.
He's a definite introvert but caries such a strength in his words and demeanor.
He has the most passionate heart for worship and a gift for leading others into the presence of God.
He excels at all that is sports and is pretty competitive (I found this out the hard way).
Couldn't ask for a better brother out on the race.
I love my Abby! She is one of those down-to-earth, quietly sarcastic but the most loving of people. Everyone needs an Abby in their life. She has a laugh that brightens a room. She is a little clumsy but that only adds to her awesomeness. She does a wonderful Marcel the Shell impression. She is a student of life and has a beautiful desire to learn. Spanish, guitar, foreign affairs… if there is info to learn she will be there with notebook & pen. She is extremely passionate about politics and will become president one day.
I laugh just starting to write Melissa's description.
I'm not entirely sure how so much fun, laughter, compassion and kindness
can all fit within one human being, but it is possible.
She came onto the race after 11 years of nursing.
She has seen just about everything, seriously.
She is obsessed with reindeer games. (Never heard of them? ya, neither had I.)
She is a powerful prayer warrior.
She is probably the most well maintained racer.
(How she keeps on her eye liner after hours of yard work in the hot sun is beyond me.)

Melissa has a beautiful life story of grace, love and forgiveness
and I am blessed to do life with her for this season.
Well there you have it. Just a glimpse into my new, fantastic team.
This team is filled to the brim with so much joy and love!
We all desire to grow deeper in the Lord and more sensitive to His spirit.
I know God has so much in store for the 6 of us over the next few months.
