Well, the time has come. The application has been processed, the acceptance has been given, the deposit has been paid… I'm headed to the World Race! The only potential road block would be the finances, hence… The Ask. The trip expenses are about $16,000 (which is pretty awesome considering it is a year of living, traveling, eating, etc.)
I have begun sending out support letters, planning fundraising events and putting away any dollar I can before January. Not gunna lie, when I first saw that the trip was $16K my stomach sank. All signs about this trip had pointed to yes up unto that dollar sign. But who am I to doubt what God can do through the generosity of others?
It's kind of humbling knowing that I cannot make this trip happen on my own. There's no question I will be relying on God providence day in and day out, but without the financial contributions of friends, family and even strangers the World Race wouldn't be possible for me.
So here I go, The offical Ask:
Would you please consider helping make this trip a reality by supporting me financially? Whether that is a one-time donation or committing to sponsor me $11 a month for the year I will be gone… anything you can do will be extremely appreciated.
