In early Christianity, the Parabalani were a group of Christians who voluntarily cared for the sick and dying, thus giving them their name which means “The Gamblers” because they knew the risks of death associated with their work. My name is John Harding Veal from Hazel Green, Alabama, and I want to be a Gambler.
In May of 2017 I graduated from the University of North Alabama with a degree in Public Communications and began seeking God’s will for me. Throughout my life I always sought my place in the larger story, but I never realized until later in college that the only story that matters, the only one worth being a part of is the story the Father is writing for his children right now. That’s the story I want to be involved in.
I am passionate about the development of children’s futures, spreading hope to a broken world, and bringing the restorative love of the Father to all those who think it is lost for them.
“There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1
