In life, we sometimes find ourselves in a predicament or even a joyous situation and we may ask ourselves, how did I get in this position? Tracing back, we can find situations in which we could have taken different paths or come out with different conclusions with the choices we make.
Why Guatemala? People ask me why I chose this trip and to say it simply, I didn’t choose it, God chose me for it. Through a great amount of prayer and discernment, God lead me here through multiple small encounters. One person lead me to another person that gave me the chance for other missionary work, and in the end eventually got me going to a mission trip in Guatemala and Nicaragua. When I look back, there is not a thing I would change. Every small encounter I had with a person or a moment in God’s grace, lead me one step closer to where I am now. What a blessing life can be once we grasp every moment that is given to us.
Have you ever heard someone say, “You have to enjoy the small things.” Multiple small events create one big event called life. So enjoy It.
