Dear friends, thank you for your support. I appriciate you reading my blogs and praying for me. I can’t give you enough thanks, it would be impossible for me to give you my heart, but know that Gods wants to use you for so much. Not that he needs too but he wants too. In reality we are all fighting , hopefully with the Lord at fighting sin and building your friends up. I hope that God is at the center of everything we do. There are spritual battles going on where I am at and where you are at. Thank you for coming along side me specifically. Especially my immeadiate family who has given me so much more than money (mom and dad). I love you all.
People die everyday and are going to hell right now. Thats the reality. There are also few who are going to heaven. Everytime I mediate on this simple truth it really hits me and I get emotional. It is a real motivation, to bring people to the Lord. We have to tell people about Jesus.
I ‘m starting to realize that what God is asking us to do as saints isn’t always what we think. He has different roles for us to play. IT CAN CHANGE AT ANY MOMENT. When I can keep an open mind to what Gods wants me to do and I don’t put him in a box or my role in a box. He can then start to lead me where he wants me. I have been trying to live in the moment and take in what the Lord has for me right now. I am not saying that I’m good at this, but it is a work in progress. I think about the poeple who need Jesus and want to help, but I need to listen to him.
My mentor Alissa has a really good relationship with the Lord and she is constantly is talking about how God is bigger than we think. Its incredible because she makes decisions based on her beliefs. She doesn’t cave into her feelings or her own thoughts, but in prayer she responds to the Lord in faith. She then relays her decisions to the team.
I ‘m not sure where I’m going with this blog, but I have been learning a lot. I’m being hit with so much revelation and things are always changing so its hard. Like I have been saying I’m learning how to be a christian. I have never dedicated so much time to the Lord. I want more of Him so bad.
So maybe I should tell you more about what we have been doing. We have been working at the base we are staying at. Digging holes, painting, prayer walking around town. Having our team time together. The girls a few nights ago went out around the town at night and prayed for the city. They saw some things that were intense. Prostitution is a problem here and they got to pray for that. Also we got to feed the homeless through the church here in town. They are mostly drug addicts and they come from San Jose or Nicaragua. They are also locals. We saw some of them around town and we make sure to show them a good example.
It seems minimal at times, but I think this is a season of planting. Our leadership team has been harping on trusting that we are making a difference by trusting that God is planting seeds. We may not see the fruit of our labor yet, but we are making an impact whether we see it or not. God is faithful to his promises. I would encourage everyone to pray big prayers. He will anwser.
Another big thing that happened this week is “team changes”. It surprised everybody. Our team is so close. It was really hard for a lot of people. It is the earliest that team changes have ever happened. It is only month 2 :(. A lot of prayer went into this decsision. Everyone on the leadership team knew it was from the Lord. It was so obvious! Our God is not about being comfortable. I will always cherish the time I had with this team. We always called eachother higher. We were not afraid to talk about the hard stuff and they were a great shoulder to lean on. I take this change as a compliment. God wants to change to help us grow.
I know I told everyone that I would write 1 blog a week. I don’t see that being realistic, due to the lack of wifi. I take pride in keeping you updated and sharing my experience with you. It is important to me. There is so much more to tell you, but just know this squad is being blessed by the Lord. His hand is in what we are doing and it is exciting. Know that God is walking with us. I have seen my Squad be so bold and Holy Spirit lead that it is so evident God is with us and is leading us. Ahh! So awesome! Glad you are all a part of it. This adventure is just getting started!!
Blessings From Jaco, Costa Rica!
