What is a dream? What does a dream mean and what do dreams mean to you?
The Random House College Dictionary has this definition of the word
dream:

An aspiration, goal, or aim. Something of unreal beauty or charm. Ideal, desirable.

No wonder we all love to dream, no matter what age we are. We are always dreaming throughout life. We dream about the toys we want for our birthdays, about what we want to be when we grow up, and about what our first car will be like. We dream about finding our husband or wife. We dream about enjoying life and about amazing trips we want to take. We dream about the day we won’t have to work so hard. We dream of happiness, peace, health, prosperity, and the overall enjoyment of life. Growing up, people are always telling us that they hope our dreams come true.

Wouldn’t you love to make someone’s dream come true? If you had the ability to help someone reach their goal, find that something of unreal beauty and charm, would you help them? Well there is great news! We are all in luck! Our creator has had a magnificent dream from the beginning of time. No dream we dream can ever come close to the greatness of this one dream and the best part is that we are part of the dream and we have the ability to search the world, pick up the pieces to the puzzle of God’s dream, and fulfill something of unreal beauty, Heaven on earth!

In the Bible there is a great passage about the Lord’s dream. In Ezekiel 37 we learn about the valley of dry bones. Here the Lord brought Ezekiel into the middle of a valley. The valley was filled with nothing but dry bones. During the time of Ezekiel, the people of Israel and the Lord’s people were scattered all about the region. The valley of dry bones represented the Lord’s people. The non-believers of that time said that the bones of the believers were dry and that their hope was gone. While Ezekiel is standing there looking out at all of the dry bones, the Lord asks him, “Son of man, can these bones live?” In a sense, God is asking Ezekiel if his dream can come true. God is saying, “Can my people be saved, can their dry bones be filled with life, can heaven reside on earth, can my dream come true?”

The answer is YES!! The Lord has filled us with the breath of life and given us a helper, the Holy Spirit, to fulfill his dream. We must reject passivity, rise up, and seek the people the Lord is preparing. The Lord is working in people all over the world. He is preparing them to hear the truth. Now we must do our part and speak the truth to those the Lord has prepared. We must fulfill his dream. We must ask the Lord to show us who he has prepared to receive the fruits of his kingdom and we must speak truth into them. It is time to step up and be the generation that brings heaven to earth! So again I ask you: Wouldn’t you love to see the Lord’s dream come true? If you had the
ability to help God reach his goal, find that something of unreal
beauty and charm, would you help him?
