Knuckle dragger, steamboat Johnny, Johnny star-straight-eyes.yup these are few of the nick names I have acquired of the years. My name is Johnny Pratt and I am currently 22 years old. I am residing in Raleigh, North Carolina at the moment and I live here with my beautiful wife Marissa and our husky, Rocky. I am so thankful for the World that God has created for us to live in. The main reason is well, it is my playground.
I live for the outdoors and I love to travel. As a child I grew up in a family where we were always moving (once every two years). Was it the Military? you may ask. Nope, but close. It was IBM. This constant moving around made me who I am today. I love to travel and see new places. One of my favorite things to do is to fly or drive to a new town and first handedly find out all there is to see and do there and then go do it. If it is an activity and you do it outside, you can probably bet that I spend some of my time doing it.
I spend my time outside racing mountain, road, and cyclocross bikes. I love to hike, camp and rock climb. I also like to go mountaineering and I hope to reach the peaks of the highest mountains of the world. I also enjoy swimming, running (trails of course), jump club, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, kayaking, rafting…it keeps going. On a tamer side, I love photography and working with my hands. I have a folder full of exciting and fun places I want to go and things I want to do. I call it “my life list.
The reason I love to do so much is probably because I get bored pretty quickly. I always need something new and exciting to do. This is probably why God has called me to the World Race. It is perfect for me. I get to travel the world, move around from country to country, and I will get to share to gospel. Most of all, I will get to make an impact and a difference in the lives of many all over the globe. I hope that I can be contagious and that my actions will spread until everyone has been reached!
