So, you know how people are always thinking, wondering, questioning, and seeking God’s will for their life? Well I was in this boat along with many others not too long ago. I was always trying to seek God’s answer of the ultimate question we all ask: “God, what is your will for my life? What do you want me to do?
I have recently realized something incredible! Thanks to the book “The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind.” It is suddenly so much clearer and easier to understand. God’s will for all of us is just the same. His will for us is the same as his will and purpose was with his son Jesus Christ. Many have seen, read, or heard Matthew 6:9-10: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” And in hearing that verse, we all want to know what His will is for us. Yet, it is so simple. God’s will is this “On earth as it is in heaven.” Thats it! To further clarify, Jesus is the revelation of God’s will! So why was Jesus sent to earth? We see this in John 6:38 “For I have come down from heaven, not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. Therefore, Jesus was sent to do the will of God.
So what is the will of God? To answer this, we have to see why Jesus was sent to earth. We can find this in 1st John 3:8 and Acts 10:38. Jesus was sent to destroy the devil’s work and Jesus also went around doing good, healing all who were under the power of the devil. So there you have it…God’s will is right there. So now I will no longer ask God what his will is for my life, but rather I will ask Him what path and direction he wants me to take to do good, heal the suffering, and show others the life in Jesus Christ.
