Committing to the World Race was one of the biggest decisions we've made as a married couple. This decision has led us to change our life completely. It's been a summer of change to say the least.
In March, we knew that going on the World Race meant quitting our jobs, moving out of our apartment, and selling or storing all of our stuff.. What a daunting task! But here we are, at the end summer and we've finished working, moved out of our place, sold a car, and stored all of our belongings.
We've taken the month of August to spend time with our families and visit friends all along the East Coast. It's been such a refreshing time to relax and finish our fund-raising.

We missed you Kate!
Our Z Squad will launch from Atlanta, GA on Monday, September 5th. We'll spend a few days in Atlanta for an orientation, a little more training and time to pray together as a squad before we head to the Philippines.
We have purchased all of our gear and now the true test will be to see how well we can make our life fit into one pack for the next year!
God has been so faithful this summer! We have over 90% of our funds pledged! We prayed that we'd have all of our funds in by the time we launch, and it seems very likely. The less money we have to raise while overseas the better!
We couldn't have done this without all of our family, friends, and churches that have supported us!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
The World Race would not be a reality for us without all of your love, prayers and encouragement!
