Swaziland was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in my life. It was hard to imagine that a land full of lush green terrain and lively children could be so hopeless. Illness, poverty and spiritual darkness have strickened the kingdom of Swaziland. We were there to serve and love the Swazi people. Ashley ran the clinic at El Shaddai and used her gifts and talents to bless the people of Mbabane. The first two weeks at El Shaddai I painted. We painted the outside of the school, classrooms, kitchens, and dining halls. Once the paint projects were finished we spent the last week fencing the perimeter of the property. It was about 5 or 6 acres of rocky farmland. Ash and I both love playing with the children at the orphanage, but she feels most at home when she is healing others and I feel most effective when we accomplish big projects for our ministry so it was a good month for both of us.
