We've now been at the World Race training camp in Tennessee for a few days, but it feels like it's been weeks. We arrived a little later than most racers so that we could attend Meredith and Zach Elkin's wedding Saturday night! However, we jumped right in when we arrived. After only knowing our squad for less than an hour we had a dance off with 50 of our new best friends.. I think these are our kind of people!
That night we had a time of worship and a great message. It amazes us how the Lord has already revealed himself to us. People have let go of baggage, repented of sins and asked for God to move in a big way in their lives. We can only minister to and bless others after we've dealt with our own junk. We've been praying that the Holy Spirit would show up and empower us to be bold and courageous for Him and the message of the Gospel as we go around the world.
We're only 3 days in and still getting to know our squad and what exactly we'll be doing while on the race. Thanks for all of your prayers! We are so excited that each of you will be a part of this journey and ministry with us!
