Incase you don’t know…

Since May of 2011, I’ve been involved with Adventures in Missions when I found out and applied to go on the World Race, an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries.

I was accepted and launched January 2012. I finished my race in December 2012, and accepted a position to join the marketing department of Adventures in Missions.

I’ve been on staff for nearly two years and have been using the skill set of video production to help inspire people in pursuing the cause of Christ through our organization.

Catch up on what Adventures in Missions did this past year here.

In 2014, one of the biggest accomplishments was the production and release of the new World Race Promo Video: More than a Mission Trip and my involvement as a camera operator in the new World Race Documentary Project.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my job is opportunity to mentor new missionaries on the field as they try to tell their story, as well as other stories, through video. I feel like I’m swimming in emails and feedback sometimes, but it’s always worth it.  We’re sharing the Gospel and its fruit through video. So excited!

Project Searchlight MC

One of the privileges I have by working at Adventures in Missions is that I get to be the MC for Project Searchlight. It’s a free conference we put on three times a year for squads that just came off the field.

Essentially, I keep the flow going, interact with new alumni, and encourage them to press into what the Lord is doing during that week. Aside from seeing projects come to completion, this is one of my favorite things to do. I’m reminded of the days when I was a Youth Director. It’s supes fun.

Life Outside the Office.

I’ve recently accepted a position to be a house mentor for the CGA (Center for Global Action). The CGA is a second year program we offer in an effort to help people transition back into the United States and help them walk out what God has called them to do after their World Race.

I live in house (La Casa Bro’sa) with six other male apprentices (interns/students). Essentially, I do life with them. We have a roomie dinner/activity once a week, I keep an open door policy and talk into the night helping people process what their learning, pray with them, and help them live out what we’ve learned from the Race in an everyday life here in the States.

I’ll be posting pics soon!

Financial Update:

I have a goal of $7,134.91 and as of today I have raised $1,215. I had over $760 come in during the month of January. This means I only need to raise $5,919.91 by October!

I need to have $740 coming in monthly to hit my support goal. I’m looking for monthly donors to help maintain the monthly support goal stated above. If you can’t partner monthly, one time donations still help!

If 10 people committed to $75 per month for the next 8 months, I would be fully funded for the year.

You can financially support me by donating right here on my world race blog! Thanks for your support everybody!

And one more thing:

I’m making a newsletter! If you would like to receive a monthly newsletter, please message me with your mailing address by Sunday, February 15th. 🙂
