I can still remember getting a call from Matt, my race coach, in December before ever setting out on my race. It was a simple check in call to see how race prep was coming along. At one point I recall him asking me if I would be open going back out as an alumni leader for the race. He was already aware of my plans to go into public accounting upon the completion of my race. I told him I was definitely open (that was a lie) to God changing my direction, but that at the moment I believed God was calling me into tax accounting. Post phone call I sent up a quick prayer asking God not to change my plans. I think I knew what would happen, but I would have never admitted it.

I can still remember setting out on my first flight in January. It was a brief one from Atlanta to Denver, and it was the first one out in the morning. Just before taking off I remember talking with my alumni squad leader Patrick. He asked what I wanted to get out of this year. I told him I wanted to be able to return home and take my ministry mindset into the public accounting field. He responded by telling me that he had a similar set up waiting on him at the end of his original race. This was his third time out on the field since then… I remember thinking two things as he slipped his head phones in and fell asleep. The first being that my case was different, and I wouldn’t be changing my plans upon returning home. The second was that I really had to poop, however I barely knew Patrick at the time, so I felt to bad waking him up, so I could get into the isle.

Fast forward to now, I’ve been through so much. I’ve loved it all. After examining all my options, praying into them, and seeking wise counsel (mom and dad) I have decided to answer the call to stay out on the field as an Alumni Squad Leader for the World Race!

What does this mean?

It means that after returning from my trip in December I will have a month home before flying back out. This time it will be for a stint of five months. My role will be to go out with a new squad and to lead/disciple them for the first five months of their race. After this, leaders from within their own squad will be raised up and I will return home again.

That means that starting this January I will be traveling to Japan > Taiwan > China > Mongolia >  & Kazakhstan!!

But… I cannot do this without your help. For this next go round, I will need to meet a fundraising requirement of $3,500. This covers all my on-field expenses for the five months I will be out plus my flights to and from America. My new donation bar is currently up! All that’s needed is to click on my fundraising bar to contribute to my trip. If you have questions about this next season do not hesitate to reach out to me. My email is [email protected]
