So around our second week in Thailand I was sitting in the meeting room when someone came in looking for the front desk. As I showed her to the front desk and asked what she needed help with she noticed my Wyldlife bracelet. It turns out that she did Younglife in North Carolina. As we talked some more she asked where I live. When I told her that I live in Jacksonville Florida she said that she had some friends from there. Out of reflex more than anything I asked who they were. Of course I didn’t actually expect to know them, Jacksonville’s a big place after all. However, the first person she named was my friend Erica who I did Younglife in high school with. It was pretty crazy that halfway across the world I could meet someone who not only does Younglife but is also best friends with one of my friends from high school. God’s funny like that though. This month has been filled with things that would seem like crazy coincidence to those who don’t believe in God, but for me I know that things like these are God appointed. Sometimes He sets up things just right for us, sometimes it’s to show someone His love, or maybe to tell someone something they need to hear, maybe it’s because someone really needs to have an encounter with Him, but sometimes it’s to bring us some joy and something to smile and laugh about. God’s good like that.
