Team Malachi
Oh Yeah!!!! Hello Everyone! Sorry it took so long, but I finally will introduce you to my team…better yet, my family for the next 11 months!
First our team name is Malachi! I have always loved this name! Malachi means “My Messenger” or “God’s Messenger.” It is the last book of the Old Testament and it is about the error of forgetting the love of God. When people forget about God’s love, it influences their attitudes, family, home, church and worship. The Lord sent Malachi to awaken the people from their spiritual stupor and encourage them to return to the Living God.
Second, our team passage or better yet our calling is Isaiah 58 “True Fasting” with a specific focus on 6-11. “…To set the oppressed free…To share your food with the hungry…To provide the poor with shelter…To clothe the naked…To bring light into darkness… and The Lord will guide you always…”
And finally, my incredible team! We have four incredible women of God whom are going to do absolutely amazing things! One of which is our Team Leader,
Brook Armistead! I couldn’t be more excited for her as our Leader. She is a leader who knows how to lead while bringing out the gifts and talents of those around her and ultimately focusing on God!

Then we have Little Asia, Christine Louie! Don’t let her size fool you! She is a little Asian whom is ready to spread the word of God with anyone anywhere, even if it calls running down the street to catch up with a guy in Little Mexico wearing a cap with the Letter E… Long story, but a great story! Feel free to ask any of us about it!
Then Emily Gilchrist – Another woman on fire for God and His Kingdom! Emily is ready and willing to follow God wherever He guides her and not to mention, she is ultimately ready for God mold her into the woman He wants her to be! Emily is someone whom when you ask them to pray for you or for something important, she will! She cares and she doesn’t forget! She is the ultimate Prayer Warrior and we need all the Prayer Warrior’s we can get!

Then
Margie Termeer “Mama Marge” – Another amazing woman of God! A funny quick story… From the time we broke off into teams and we were trying to come up with nicknames for everyone, I kept thinking something with a mother ring to it for Margie… and from the get go I could tell she possessed that motherly love towards the whole group. It was like that sense of peace and that she was always watching out for everyone. I didn’t want to say anything because I wasn’t sure how she would like being called “Mom…” but then she made the comment about her loving to cook and cooking for a previous team on their mission’s trip… So the last night we were all there, I was going to throw it out there among the team… and come to find out, she is called “Mama Marge!” Guess you had to be there… haha Basically, she rocks and not to mention cooks!!!! haha
J
And Last but not least Mr. Georgia,
Jake Kennedy – Before we learned of our teams, I didn’t have much of a chance to get to know Jake. Nonetheless, the moment we became a team we hit it off. He is full of energy and will definitely be the life of the team! He is one of those that can bring laughter and fun out of anything! Not to mention he has a heart the size of a Lion and he is ready to be the man God has called him to be and to bring Gods Kingdom to the ends of the earth! As a brother in Christ, I am very excited to have him on my team! Especially traveling the world and knowing that when it comes to protecting and watching out over these amazing women on our team and the entire Race, we are on the same page!

So, this is my family for the next 11 months, Team Malachi! I am so excited about my team and I can’t wait to begin this amazing journey God has called all of us on! Thank you again for all your encouragement and prayers!!
