Manila Week 1 = Soul Saved, Soul in the works and a
Healing!!!

Thank You LORD Jesus, because you are so Good!!!

I am very excited to share with you about our ministry!  To begin, our ministry here in the
Philippines is awesome! We are working with “KIM” Kids International Ministry
and our main contact is Jeff Long and our ministry contact is Emily Miles.  She is heading a kids ministry for a
local slum neighborhood and we have been blessed with helping her with bible
studies, home visits, prayer walks, feeding program for over 75 kids, church
planting and just plain out pouring the love of Jesus Christ onto every one of
them!!  Also, we have two Pastor’s
that are helping out and translating for us, Pastor June and Pastor Ray!  It’s been an incredible first week of
ministry!  A woman accepted Jesus
Christ as her Lord and Savior!!!
Read my teammate Brook’s blog “God has Mercy!”

Then, I have the great blessing to disciple her son, Al, one
on one!  Al is a wonderful
kid!  He is 18 years old, just
graduated high school and while he was in high school he was able to take a few
college courses!!  Unfortunately,
he can’t attend college because it costs a few 1000 pesos which the exchange
rate is practically 50 pesos to 1 USD!… hmm!!!…  Also, he is trying to find a job.  It gets better, we asked him if he had a girlfriend and his
exact words were “no because I want to help take care of my (7) younger siblings
now and get my life in order to be able to provide for a family!!”  I love this kid!!!

As I stated, I am stoked about Manila!  The Holy Spirit is here, He is alive,
He is pumped and He is ready and waiting for us to call upon Him!!!!  And, to be quite frank, a man was
healed Wednesday night!!!! Lord you are so Good!!  As we were doing home visits on Wednesday a lady asked us to
pray for her brother Fernando.  As
we walk into her 8ft x 6ft home, that was ravished by the typhoon that hit in
October… There is one 5ft high x 6ft long cement wall left standing and the
other three sides and the roof consist of scraps of wood, cardboard, tarps and tin…
In one corner she has somewhat of a flat cement surface that she sleeps on and
the rest of her floor is ground and dirt…  Her brother is laying there crouched over in
extreme pain and can’t move… He can’t even open his eyes… His sister said that
he hasn’t been able to move for 12 days… Immediately, Christine, Emily, Pastor
June and I lay hands on him and start praying for his healing in Jesus Christ
name!  Well the following day at
the women’s bible study, his sister stands up and starts balling her eyes out
thanking God for healing her brother!… She said that his pain is gone and
that he is healed!!  The moment I
heard of it, the Holy Spirit overwhelmed me and I come to tears… 🙂  It gets even better, today as we are
leaving from home visits, we look up and we see Fernando walking towards us
with a giant smile on his face!  In
broken English and mostly Tagalog (Philipine Language) he is telling me he has
been healed!!!!  Seriously this man
hadn’t moved for 12 days and looked as if he was one foot in the grave… In the
name of Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit, Fernando was
healed!!!!  But, the Holy Spirit is
not done with Fernando, the Holy Spirit wants him for eternity!!!

 Please pray for
Fernando and his acceptance of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  Also, please keep this ministry in your
prayers, for God to continue to move in these people, for continued healing, for
our bible study’s, for the church plant, for souls to be saved, for these kids,
for Al to find work and the ability to attend college, for our contacts, and
for our team, Team Malachi to continue to surrender daily to and for our Lord
and His perfect will!  Thank you and
until next time!

In Him,

John
