I wanted to give everybody a quick update about the training camp I attended last month and to say thank you again to everybody for supporting me. I’m truly blessed to be surrounded by such loving people and I couldn’t do this without you.

The most exciting part was actually getting to meet the rest of my squad in person, getting to hear everybody’s stories about what brought them here, and what their background is. Pictured below is the whole squad together.

Training camp was full of some great worship, fantastic speakers, interesting food, bucket showers, and field scenarios to help ready us for our journey next year. It was all about eliminating distractions and focusing on getting ready to leave in a couple months. Some of these scenarios included sleeping in a makeshift airport overnight, losing half our bags and having to rely on one another for what we needed, community tents, etc. We also did a lot of praying, teaching scenarios, and team building. It was hard at times but it was a great way to get to know everybody and help each other out. Here is what our camp site looked like:

Throughout the 10 days we were there we also did a bunch of team building exercises to help squad coaches and mentors narrow us down further into teams of 7 that we will be doing ministry with once we reach our destination country. I’m really excited to get started on our journey together. Our team is fantastic and we work really well together. Here they are! From left to right, me, Josh from Prescott, AZ, Lindee from Annandale, MN, Kat from Long Beach CA, Johnny from Gallatin, TN, Katy Mae from Port Orchard, WA, and Carlyn from Calabash, NC.

I’m blessed to be with such a solid group of Christian men and women and can’t wait to get started in a couple months. Thank you all again so much for your prayers and support!
