Just wanted to give you a quick update since we have changed ministry locations! We moved about 20 minutes down the street to another church called Calvary Chapel Cusco. There, we are helping prep for a Vacation Bible School they are having this weekend. Also, we are going to the local university and holding up signs offering free English lessons! We have had a really good response so far and invited everybody we spoke with to the church on Saturday for more time to practice.
While staying with our previous hosts at their church, we had the opportunity to work with another young church that they knew while they are trying to get everything up and running. The church is located in a low-income neighborhood in Peru. We helped by installing sound proofing material in the sanctuary and going out into the neighborhood to invite people to services. We were only here a couple days but loved getting the chance to help this young church as they reach out to their local community.
Before we left, we spent one night with them at their service telling them about ourselves and worshiping with them. After the service, EVERYBODY wanted a picture with us! It was a lot of fun spending time with them. We also prayed for the pastor as he continues to grow his young church
