Friends, Family, and Supporters,

Sorry it has been awhile since my last blog post. Wifi was limited last month but I am excited to update you now! As I’m writing this, my team and I are in Cusco, Peru which I’ll update you all on soon.

Ecuador is an absolutely beautiful country! There is so much to do and see for being a smaller country. We had the opportunity to climb mountains, go to the beach, and zipline through the jungle. We spent most of our time with the soccer team, Cumbre Alta that I had mentioned before. We had the opportunity to build some great relationships with the guys and spent time with them outside of soccer practice as well. We also did some work at a smaller soccer field behind a church. Kids would come play every day around 3 so we would get to hang out and play soccer with them. People would also come and rent out the field so we would stay and make sure they had everything they needed. Lastly, we worked a couple days at a camp called Hacienda el Refugio. They are a training and retreat center with a focus on deepening a relationship with Christ through outdoor adventures. Hacienda el Refugio. We helped them pull weeds on their soccer field in the mountains. Now here are some pictures from the month!

This is Edgar, he is a member of the soccer team from Quito, went to Bible college in Argentina, and is a really strong Christian. Our team enjoyed getting to know him.

This is Meji, he loves pizza and soccer, just not pictures.

Here is the wall we were working on in my last blog post. Josh took on the rest by himself while we were doing our soccer ministry. Turned out pretty great!

Our ministry hosts for the month were from left, Mabe, Fabi, and Gustavo. They have such big hearts for the people of Quito and do a lot. I enjoyed getting to know them so much and will miss them. Please keep them in your prayers as they continue to do God’s work in Ecuador.

Mabe even rescued a little puppy while we were there. She has a big heart for animals so we got along great! Fabi ran with me one day, he even kept up for a little bit 🙂

It was pretty tight quarters staying with the entire squad of 58 this month but it allowed us to get to know our squad mates a lot better and build on those relationships. Next month, it will be just our team of 7 at our ministry site.

Here is a picture of me on a mountain we went up one day with Edgar from the soccer team.

In closing, Ecuador was nothing short of amazing. We could not have asked for better ministry hosts and we loved getting to hang out and get to know the guys on the soccer team. I can’t wait for the next country, it’s going by fast but I’m trying to just concentrate on where I am now and do the best work I possibly can for God and His people. Thank you all for your prayers and continued support. If you know anybody that would be interested I am still about $4,200 short of being fully funded. I honestly can’t believe how far I have come considering this was one of my biggest concerns. God shows up when you need Him and I can’t thank you all enough for your help. Talk to you soon!
