The last day of ministry in India was yesterday. This month has flown by but it’s been one that I’ll never forget. I’ve prayed for hundreds of people and spoke in front of church at least eight times. Before applying for the Race the country I was most excited about was India. And it has exceeded any kind of expectations that I had. India is a dark country with most of the population worshipping millions of gods. There are idols on every corner of the streets. But there’s also a group of believers who will stop at nothing to see the name of Jesus Christ proclaimed throughout this nation.
Two weeks ago my team visited a village where a woman was crippled. She couldn’t walk. She had no strength in her legs. That night after our service our translator motioned for me to come and pray over her. I prayed for muscles to form and strength to be renewed to her legs. I knew if it was the Lord’s will then she would be healed. A week after praying for her we had the privilege to attend a pastor’s conference. At this conference over 100 pastors were in attendance and a few from the villages we went to shared a few stories. The pastor from the village with the woman who was crippled walked up to the podium to share. He spoke about how encouraged he and his congregation were with having our team pray and speak at their church. Then he shared something I’ll never forget.
He shared how I had walked over and prayed for a woman who was laying outside of his church. She couldn’t walk. He said the next day he was visiting the village where his church was and this woman was HEALED. She could walk. She could run. The Lord gave her the ability to move on her own. All I could think of was how awesome of a story she has to share with others in her village. The Lord will use her story as a testimony to His power over all things.
He’s got it under control.
Yesterday was our last day of ministry here in India. We were given the opportunity to worship and speak at a baptism service. After worshipping and speaking with fellow believers we rode on a tractor to a small pond where we would have the privilege to baptize four new believers. I couldn’t think of a better way to end our time in India than having the opportunity to baptize new believers. This was by far the best day that I’ve had in the two months of being on the race. I felt honored to even have the chance to attend the baptism. Lives are being changed.

Coming into India you hear about how dark of a country it is and how many millions of gods and idols are worshipped here. But what most people don’t know is that there are villages full of believers who are sold out to seeing the gospel preached to every inch of India. I was encouraged by every pastor and village that we had the opportunity to go to. Being able to worship with my brothers and sisters who are halfway around the world was an experience that’ll never leave you.
India has been unbelievable. Unreal. Awesome. Encouraging. World Race Month 2.
Leave for Thailand in 2 days.
