It’s been too long since I’ve updated you all. Wifi this month has been very limited with only a few hours a week. We are in the jungle this month. I will write a few blogs here in a few days when we get to Bangkok. Here’s an update on what’s been going on this month. It’s been an unbelievable time here in Thailand.
This month our team has been farming and teaching English. This past Sunday, Jonathan and I had the opportunity to golf. Our host was selected for a program called SLK. She works to help start programs up here in her community like teaching English. A few weeks ago we were able to attend one of their meetings for everyone here in the province of Kanchanaburi. We met the director for this program. He is a government official for Thailand and is Buddhist.
Our host spoke with him and we had been praying for him for a few weeks prior to the meeting. Our host mentioned that Jonathan and I both enjoy golfing. He asked if we would be willing to join him to golf this past Sunday. So this past Sunday we were able to enjoy a day out on the golf course and start to build relationships with people in this community that our host can continue to build once we leave. He brought two extra sets of golf clubs and also paid for our round of golf. He also had questions for both of us about why we are in Thailand and if we’ve enjoyed it.
This is only a glimpse of what God is doing here in Thailand. I will be writing a few blogs in a couple days. Be in prayer for our host and for our friend who our host named Daniel. Pray that God would continue to stir his heart and continue to reveal himself to Daniel.
