I am horrible at writing.  English definitely was not a major achievement in school.  Which is why it has taken me so long to write a new blog.  So I'll keep this one short.

When I was little, I had this book of prayers shaped like hands that my mom used to read to me every night.  This was my favorite one:

When I'm safe and warm in my own home
And turn on the TV
I see children out in other lands
Who aren't as lucky as me
They're hungry, cold, and frightened
And no one seems to care
Please keep them safe, Lord, if you can
And show them that you're there

I'm so grateful God has given me the opportunity to travel the world and build relationships with people in so many different cultures.  I want to go and save everybody, but unlike when I was a child, I know now that only God can do that.  I can change one person though.  I can tell one person of God's love, and what He has done for me, and change that person's life forever.  And that person can tell some people, and they can tell some people, and they can tell some more people.  And God's glory can eventually shine through an entire city, or maybe country.  Simply showing the love of God will do more that any "care package" could ever do.  God's love is hope.  Without hope there is fear, and we all know that, "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to suffering." ( -Yoda).   It seemed so much simpler when I was a child.  Now I make it so difficult, but it is still just as simple.  Love God, love others, and do God's will (which I noticed a lot of times is simply just to love).  All you need is love.  The Beatles surely summed it up nicely.
