I remember a time when $15,800 seemed like a lot of money, or a least it seemed like too big of a number for me to be able to raise. Looking at that number before I started fundraising was intimidating. It’s easy to be unsure of things before they start, and I was definitely unsure 8 months ago before I committed to the Race. I was unsure if God wanted me to do this instead of college. I was unsure if I had what it takes to travel for this long. I was unsure if I’d have the support to prepare or fundraise for this journey. Fast forward 8 months and I am confident, excited, and fully-funded for the Race. I would say that it is nothing short of a miracle that I have been able to finish my support raising.

The phrase “Fear not” is repeated in the bible on multiple occasions, but it is something that can only be practiced by putting yourself in situations where you would be afraid. The World Race is providing me with this opportunity, and I need not fear.

Isaiah 35:4 – “Say to those who have an anxious heart, ‘Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.'”
