Went to the special needs home one last time. They set up a goodbye party for us, and we had music, a game of soccer, and pinatas. The residents had a blast, and the staff were so happy to host the party because we have helped them so much these past couple of months. The simple and long process of yarn rolling allows the residents to have a means to make crafts which can in turn be sold to help fund the home. Funds are tight for them, so they are so grateful.
The afternoon was spent on carpentry. We only started a couple of small projects because when we leave, so will David and Scarleth. They have friends who will help sell their furniture as they are gone for a couple of weeks. It was a tough day knowing that tomorrow morning will be the last time we get to work with David on these things.
