Had some deep fried Oreos for the first time ever. Might have diabetes after the pile I consumed. Went to visit Sarivong for Bible study. He talked a lot about the best way to reach the people of Cambodia is through relationship. Stephan was with us, and was the one to ask about it to him. Really cool to have a Khmer Christian who speaks English so we can understand the culture we are in. While my team and I may not be able to spend much more time with Sarivong, it is cool to have opened up the opportunity for Stephan to have someone local to go to who can help Ezra ministries.
Went and got to see Vanna the monk today since he was skipping class. I tried to find similarities in our faith so he could understand our perspective on Christianity better, but his English doesn’t extend into Biblical or Buddhist words and terms. Offered to him to go swimming at a lake with us guys, but he won’t go because “there will be many sexy ladies”. Lol. Perhaps another day we can have another thing to invite him to. Time here is running too short.
