Was a very relaxing day. Had church, rode my bike, took a nap, and helped make dinner.
Been thinking about home a bit. With the start of October, mornings should be a bit cooler, the fields should at least be starting harvest, and my dad’s birthday will be in a few days. While I miss popsicles, Dr. Pepper, cherry pie, a bed that doesn’t slide out from underneath me, cars, and basic furniture, I miss people the most.
However, I’m keeping my focus, and I’m not letting things get to me. As much as I love Fountain County and its familiarity, I’m learning so much more than I possibly could imagine. Launch date me is like a dummy compared to me now. Living out what I’ve learned in a missional way is so fulfilling.
After very very short encounters with Jesus, the disciples got up and went with him everywhere he went, and all the time. When reading about them over the years, I often thought about how nice it would have been to be in their shoes. Let me tell you, it is better than imagined.
