I’m excited to announce that, thanks to the Father’s faithfulness, your prayers, and 40-some financial supporters, I am fully funded for my Race!
My heart is full of gratitude for all I’ve learned from my supporters this past year, and I’m reminded of the quote from the missionary Amy Carmichael: “It is a safe thing to trust Him to fulfill the desires which He creates.” Thank you to all of you who have partnered with me in this journey by sharing your treasures, your time, or your talents with me. I am so grateful for each of you who have supported or encouraged me in any way this far!
I’m immensely thankful that God has brought us this far; yet there’s still more to be done! In the three weeks until I leave for some final training in Atlanta at Launch, I’m looking to build a base of 200+ friends who will commit to pray over this trip. I firmly believe that your prayers have strength and power—as James writes, “The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working” (James 5:16). I know so much of the time it feels small, but I cannot do the things God wants to do on this trip by my power alone. I need you, and your prayers are precious to me.
What does prayer partnership on the Race look like? Great question. Click on the subscribe button at the top of this page and enter your email so that I know you’re on board with joining me in spirit on the Race. After that, make a commitment to pray for me however often you can. Maybe that looks like your family sitting down once every week to pray together, or sticky notes on the mirror, or simply checking this blog for updates and praying over me as you read them.
If you do so, know that I will also be praying for you—my plan is to set aside time at least once a week to pray over all my supporters and prayer partners, because love in the Church is not a one-way street.
Here are some concrete ways you can be praying right now:
- Ask for peace as I’m making final preparations for the trip. Pray that the Spirit would show me where to invest these last few weeks at home.
- Thank God for his provision!
- Pray for unity in my squad as we get ready to serve together in Romania (Update coming soon on my squad and my team!).
Thank you so much for your faithfulness and for believing in me—how can I be praying for you?
