I’m
from Alabama, but I’m prone to wander… I’m an “open book”,
you just have to turn the pages… I can be loud, but I love peace
and quiet… I love vintage clothes and thrift stores, but nothing
beats a new pair of jeans… I rock “jhorts”, that is short
for “jean shorts”… I sweat the small stuff, there is no reason
not to… I love to laugh, but I love to make people laugh more…
My favorite phrase is, “it’s not that deep”, because it is
usually not… I’ve been told I have cool hair, you can be the judge
of that… I can grow a phenomenal mustache, but a horrible beard…
I love jewelry with a story, then it actually means something…
Peanut Butter M&M’s are a way to my heart, so are words of
affirmation… I enjoy making videos, but I love photography as well…
I love playing the drum (djembe), it is the heart beat of worship…I can’t fathom life without music,
worship brings peace to my soul…

I
choose to live a good story instead of playing life safe. I was on a
bus ride in the mountains of Honduras and I asked God, “Why have I
been blessed to do what I get to do?”, I look at my life and think
about life not being
fair. It is not fair that I get to see the world
while people back home sit in a cubicle. God responded with, ” You said ‘yes’ to me. You have
sacrificed your dreams and desires for your life to live out mine. The dreams I have for you will
always be bigger than you can understand. You can never out dream
me”. Ever since I quit writing my own story and started saying yes
to the pages that God had dreamed up for me my life has changed. I can’t explain
it, but my journey can give insight to it.

I believe there is a story to be lived for every person out there, but what are you willing to sacrifice to live it out? God will never call you to something that you can do on your own because of the intimacy he desires with you. Does your life require his presence daily?  It has cost me almost everything to live my journey and it is just the beginning for me. Would I go back…? No… Could I go back…? Probably not…
