In less than a week we’ll be on a flight to the Philippines!  Our team (Team Aletheia) and two other teams in our “squad” of 51 people will be staying in Manilla in the Phillipines to work with an organization called Kids International Ministries.  God continues to provide for so many people on our squad in amazing ways!  And I’ve seen God work in my life even these past two weeks financially from not having even half of what I needed in my account to leave now to having just over enough cash to launch!  Funds are still coming into my account, and I’ve got a flight from Denver to our launch location in Los Angeles.  And yet there are still many important details and needs – logistical and financial and spiritual that need tending!  If you could be praying specifically for them or have the ability to provide, that’d be amazing!

Here are those needs:
  • I’ve got $7264 in my account right now with  $1640 in pledges committed over the next year.  I’m still looking to raise a total — that’s $5396 more — of $14,300 for the entire year to cover all of our predetermined trip costs plus a few other costs such as malaria medication.
  • I’m looking for a way to pay for about $4000 of bills throughout the next year in addition to the rest of support — or grace from my lending institutions!   This amount can’t be a part of my Adventures in Missions account/expenses.  Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to save up enough this summer after cutting my foot…and yet through this experience God has really shown me I can trust in Him!
  • Finally and very importantly, could all of you be praying that I would have the courage and the strength in Jesus to boldly choose to give all I have to serve and love others. I still at times choose not to give someone a hug or pray with them, or choose to be with people when I know they’re struggling the most because I’m afraid of failing, afraid of looking like an idiot, afraid I don’t know what people really need. I choose not to encourage others because I feel like I’m not good enough. And yet I want to share the truth of the Gospel with people and share the love of Jesus flowing through me always and constantly even when I feel like I have nothing left!
Thank you so much for your support!
