Sunset in Hong Kong
This past month in China has been incredible! Our entire squad split up into several groups, hundreds of miles apart throughout this amazing nation. For one week our team was blessed with the opportunity to work with an awesome group of people dedicating their lives to volunteer our muscles and sweat with an international aid organization right here in Hong Kong. And for another two and a half, we were able to enter communist China to carefully share Jesus with university students. Our days were often long and exhausting, and yet despite feeling thoroughly drained almost every day, I began to develop a love for many of these people. I have pictures and names of new friends now on my heart. And though I may never see them again, I want to continue to pray for these guys. Walking outside on my last night before leaving mainland China with these students, one of my new friends asked me what my dream was. These students want to see change in their lives, and they look to the United States and our prosperity for life. And although I’m not sure if they understood yet, I turned to them and honestly said my greatest desire, my dream was for them to know the love of God, our incredible creator. I think God is slowly giving me a love for the nations, transforming me and giving me a piece of His heart and His love.
