Hi there!! My name is Joe Ferguson.
To start I’m new to blogging. So bear with me as I stumble my way through understanding how to use a blog. Also writing is not my forte so do what you can to look past grammatical errors and awkward sentence structure. In the end I’ll probably make myself look like a fool, but that is ok.
Usually happens.
A little about me… I’m 20 years old and I’m a junior at North park University, located in Chicago, IL. I love school, kinda love the city, but the Pacific Northwest has my heart. I’m studying Athletic Training and hopefully do well enough to go on to grad school for physical therapy. If you know me at all then you know this is not like me to take a leave of absence from school before my last year to do the world race. God has been doing some crazy stuff in my life, but I’ll talk about that in a later blog.
I am someone who seeks truth and so far it continues to lead me to Christ.
I ask lots of questions and love to dive deep.
I love soccer. I play for my University and look forward to getting to see the beautiful game played around the world.
I enjoy being spontaneous
I love to try new food, experience different culture, and meet new people.
I love outdoor adventures that are considered dangerous. I am in awe of God’s creativity and the beauty of his creation.
I Have an interest in photography but I am not very good nor do I know what any of the buttons do on a DSLR cameras (fun fact: I just learned what DSLR stands for Digital Single Lens Reflex…just in case you were curious)
It has been about 3 years since I discovered what it means to be in a real relationship with Christ. Since then I have been on the best, yet hardest adventure with him.
I’m part of a family of four and have the pleasure of being the oldest son. I am blessed to have, the most genuine, sometimes oblivious, as well as one of the most passionate pursuers of Christ as my brother. I thank God for two wonderful parents that have taught and continue to teach me more than I could ever imagine.
Well that is a bit of who I am. Ultimately though it is not about me it is about Him. He deserves ALL the glory. Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog. I look forward to sharing this journey with you and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
later days
Joe
