Dear Friends and Family,
I pray that this letter finds you well! In August I will be leaving for the World Race to serve the Lord in 11 different nations to share the Word of God and fulfill His Great Commission.
For the past few years I have felt an urge in my heart that God is calling me to travel the world and spread His wonderful name. I first felt this call the summer after my senior year in high school, my church went of a ten-day long mission trip to Guatemala to provide support to the local ministries and assist missionaries that were currently living in Guatemala on a long-term basis. The American pastor in charge of relations between my team and the current ministry led everyone in prayer at the end of the week. It was at time that I felt a tug at my heart to enter the mission field. Since then that feeling has grown stronger until it developed into an overwhelming call from the Lord to serve Him around the world. Shortly afterward I learned about the World Race through a close, personal friend and it has been impressed upon my heart for the past four years.
The World Race is an 11 month Christian mission trip to 11 countries around the world. One of the unique things about the World Race is that it’s not only a mission trip, but also an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, teach English, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations.
During the 11 months of traveling, I will be serving in El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Cote D’Ivoire, Ghana, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Embarking on the World Race does not come without its challenges. Just as God is calling me to serve Him, He is also calling me to trust Him with fundraising. In total, I will need to raise $17,617. This money will cover the entirety of my field expenses for the 11 months of the trip. In order to accomplish this, I will need your help and willingness to partake in this journey
I fully believe that the Lord is calling me to go around the world to share His name. The trumpet for my life has been Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” The time for God’s Word to come alive in my life is now, and I pray that you would be willing to take part in my journey to serve the Lord.
If you do wish to take part in my journey, donations can be made online through the donate bar at the top of my blog.
