What is a name?
Christopher……..when I think about that name I just think about a name of a boy. But is it just a boy? Is there a boy named Christopher that needs a home? Has a desire came upon us to give a home to a boy named Christopher?
When Abby first looked at this boy, she was really sad for the condition he was in. At the first time she could see all the bones on his body thats how skinny he was. He was hooked up to an I.V. Left there for no one to take care of him. Her heart broke. This is not a broke that she is really sad for and would like to take care of. It is a broke that she wants to give this child a home that will be able to take care of him.
You could say that it was love at first sight. For over a week she has not been able to get this child off of her mind. Just the thought of him going to a children's home is not one that she wants to think about because she will not know what happens to this boy. So the the word adoption came up. That word is not one that should be just thrown out there without really wanting to do it. She has seen him a couple of times and has seen improvement and has seen him smile and eat this last time.
What is the right way to go about this? I don't know but just see what God has in His plan for us and Christopher. What are the steps about going around this? Do we contact our parents or the US government or the social worker at the hospital? How can we go about this in the easiest way? Do we know what we are getting into? Are we ready for this? Will God provide for us in our time of need? What will our friends/family say? Many questions that I don't have an answer for. I just know that God has a plan for us and will show us the way. How can I be a help to Abby?
What is God's plan for us? Why did we come on the race for 11 months to only make it through the first four. Do we know what is going to happen …..no but we really want to make a place in our life for this young boy. Are we scared about what is going to happen?…perhaps. Why has there been a strong desire put on Abby's heart to take care of this young life? So many unknowns that we don't like to have. But we know that God knows what is going to happen and help us with either answer.
